EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a very powerful healing method. It's also quick and easy. Once learned, you can ease practitically any problem in minutes. I believe parents will greatly bless their children by teaching this simple technique to them. Please see my article here about EFT. I have several courses based on EFT for healing emotional issues, for advanced spiritual work and I am an advocate of using it on a daily basis. Along with hypnosis, I find EFT to be an incredible tool for lasting personal transformation and change. I studied EFT in depth and continue to study it today. EFT is becoming more renowned because of it's effectiveness and quickness in healing even long-standing issues. If you have never experienced it you will either need to contact a practitioner close to you, or at the very least, read my How to do EFT article below. How to do EFT

There are 4 parts to the Basic recipe of EFT. Before starting choose something that bothers you, that you 'd like to work on. Now decide how much emotion it invokes when you start to think about it, 0-10. If you're angry, how angry are you  on a scale 0-10, if you're sad, how sad 0-10 and so on. As you go through the EFT process described below, you will need to stop and revaluate your 0-10 feeling at regular intervals to see how much you have lowered it. Usually in only a few rounds of focused intent using EFT, you can completely eliminate an issue (or an aspect of an issue). I especially enjoy using EFT with spiritual concepts like Intuition Development and Clearing your Aura. EFT REALLY gets that energy moving! It makes you feel like a new person!

 

    1. The Set up  A basic assumption in EFT is that our body’s energetic system is psychologically reversed. This means basically that there is a reversal in the way our energy is flowing in the meridian system and when our body gives us a response, it’s false, or when we try to work with an issue, we do not see results. If you have ever tried muscle testing, you understand that you can get strange answers due to this reversal. Psychological reversal can be due to a variety of factors, including not being well hydrated, allergies  and general fatigue. 

 

 Gary Craig (the founder) believes that we should just assume that we have psychologcial reversal because dealing with it is so easy and worth the time. This is why he includes the Set up in EFT.

 

As you tap on the karate chop point (this is the meaty part of the side of your hand, opposite your thumb, not pictured here) you’ll say ‘Even though I have this ____(problem)_____ I completely and deeply accept myself”. Fill in the blank with the problem you are experiencing.  You can also use a phrase like “ I accept myself even if    (problem).  You cannot make a mistake with EFT, just forcus and set your intention! After the Set up , then you need only refer back to the problem and you do not have to repeat “I completely and deeply accept myself” each time.

 

    1. The Sequence then starts here: 1. we will tap first on the inside of the eyebrow, near the nose. Tap about seven times while repeating the setup phrase. You can tap on either side of your body and you can use either hand, one hand or both hands. You can use all fingers or two fingers (at least two makes sure you are covering the area). 2. Outside of the eye. This refers to the corner of your eye and just outside of it. You don’t want to put your finger in your eye. Tap about seven times again while repeating your phrase. If you go over or under seven times, its not too important. Try your best. Don’t get lost in counting just focus on tapping approximately seven times and repeating your phrase.  3. Tap under your eye 4. Tap under your nose 5. Tap under your chin (in the middle where its indented a bit) 6. Tap your collar bone. This is actually just below your collar bone. Feel for your collar bone and tap just below that point, on either side or on both sides. 7. Under your arm. Thi s is under your arm, about where the bottom of your bra strap is, or for guys, aligned with your nipple. 8. The outer edge of your thumb’s nailbed.  Use two fingers to tap this point, remember to repeat name the problem with each tap. 9.  Tap the nailbed edge on your forefinger nearest your thumb. 10. Tap the nailbed edge on your middle finger nearest your forefinger. 11. Tap your baby finger’s nailbed on the edge nearest your ring finger (notice we skip the ring finger here although some EFT practitioners do tap on it, you can add it if you want). 12. Back to the Karate Chop point.

 

    1. The 9 Gamet

 

Here you will massage your gamet point, which is between your pinkie finger and your ring finger down by the V part on your hand. Now as you massage that point, you

 

Close your eyes

Open your eyes

Eyes hard dopwn right (don’t move your head)

Eyes hard down left (don’t move your head)

Roll your eyes in a huge circle (don’t move your head)

Roll your eyes in the opposite direction

Hum 5 seconds of a song (any song)

Count 1-5 (engages the analytical mind)

                 Hum 5 seconds of a song again

 

 A little note about the 9 Gamet. Most of the time, it's NOT needed. I have been amazed by the success without the use of the 9 gamet. I actually rarely use/need it when I work with people using EFT.

 

 

    1. Now you repeat the Sequence as in number 2. 

 

 

You can stop before doing this step and take a deep breathe and evaluate how you’re emoitional charge is 0-10 concening the aspect you’re dealing with. Does it still have a huge emotional charge for you? Take a guess at a number if you’re not sure. You don’t have to be over analytical about the number. It doesn’t really matter if you say 8 when its a 7.5. The idea is simple to give you a scale to go by so you can tell when your anxiety or upsetment is going down.
